- On October 7, 2024, Clash Royale decreased the Tower Level requirement from Level 15 to Level 11 for double evolution slots in one deck.

How do you unlock Card Evolution in Clash Royale?
Think of a card evolution as an upgrade. You don't unlock a card evolution in Clash Royale like you unlock a normal card; however, you evolve it using Evolution Shards. There is no additional cost associated with the upgrade.

Season Shop
Players can trade season tokens for a Wild Shard or Evolution Shard in the season shop.
Pass Royale
The Free Pass contains one Evolution Shard each season. The Diamond Pass contains six Evolution Shards of the newest evolution each season.

Evolution Giveaways
Clash Royale hosts evolution giveaways occasionally. In the past, players could unlock Royale Giant, Bats, and Mortar Evolution for free. Similarly, Clash Royale allowed players to unlock their evolution during February Valentine's Giveaway (February 2024) and Fight Giveaway (September 2024).
Chests
Lucky drop chests occasionally reward evolution shards. Players receive a guaranteed evolution shard at King Level 53 and onwards via a Level-up chest.
